Herp Enclosures was founded in 2003 by Richard Vierrether. Richard's background in plastic fabrication and design goes back 15 years, mainly in the pet products industry. He started out building wet dry filtration systems and soon mastered the technique for building large seamless aquariums out of acrylic. His reputation of quality work spread, and he was soon designing and fabricating mechanical plastic products for industrial and military uses. Richard's real passion is for reptiles, and he started attending reptile shows with his friends, some of whom are top breeders in the industry today. While attending these shows one thing became obvious to him, reptile breeders needed better quality rack systems than what was being offered at the time. He soon began making racks for discriminating breeders who wanted the best plastic rack available. Throughout his years of plastic fabricating he learned the effects of time and gravity on specific types of plastic. With this knowledge he was able too confidently choose the best material for Herp Enclosures Elite Series of racking systems. In early 2006, Herp Enclosures unveiled its Economy Series of racking systems. We realized there was a need for a less expensive racking system for entry level hobbiest. This rack was designed to have many of the great features that breeders have come to expect from Herp Enclosures. Herp Enclosures works hard on its designs and concepts and likes to have the product speak for itself. While others might claim to have the best racks and cages out there, we say the proof is in the products themselves. By comparing material type, workmanship, design, durability, and features; even the most discriminating herper would have to agree Herp Enclosures racks are dollar for dollar the best racking system available. We look forward to helping you on your set-ups and would like to thank all of our customers for helping us get to where we are today. As for the new customers we would like to say in advance "Welcome to the Herp Enclosures family". | ||
